Eric Lefkofsky was born in Southfield, Michigan, in September of 1969. He attended the University of Michigan in 1991 and decided to pursue a career in the medical field. Shortly after graduating college, he earned his Juris Doctor degree while attending the University of Michigan Law School. Although he grew up in the Michigan area, he migrated to Chicago, where he has spent most of his adult life. The headquarters of Tempus are located in Chicago as well. When he isn’t busy with his businesses, he serves on the bard of directors for Lurie’s Children’s Memorial Hospital and the Art Institute of Chicago. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre Company. His years of experience have also lead him into teaching positions at DePaul University’s Graduate School of Business and Northwestern University’s School of Management.
